To bring attention to the Fela Kuti covers album, Red Hot + Fela, My Morning Jacket, Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard, and tUnE-yArDs’ Merill Garbus with assistance from The Roots and Antibalas Horns performed a powerful rendition of Fela’s “Trouble Sleep Yanga Wake Am” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Friday night (Oct. 11, 2013).
