Thanks much for posting this excellent concert. This was the band he recorded the Budokan concert with. I saw them at MSG and it was very different than any other time I saw him before. The arrangements were for the most part much different than anyone might have expected.
I always thought the Budokan (and Street Legal) were great times for Bob. He seemed to be enjoying himself during that time.
I was at this concert way back when. Dylan was setting all time attendance records. The Seattle show was sold out almost immediately. I was a disc jockey in Bellingham. The night before the concert my friend Jack Chunn, the sales manager at KZOK radio in Seattle, called and he gave me two tickets. I think they were free altogether, but for convenience on the way there we had to stop and get them at an Everett hotel. This was an incredible and historic concert. A song missing from the set list is Knocking on Heavens Door. As i recall that was performed as the encore, but it was in the show.
